Invitation to Questionnaire Training

It is time for yet another training on questionnaire development! This time we will work on a draft questionnaire for a survey on displacement in Georgia. To get the most out of the training, we will go through and discuss the questionnaire question by question under the lead of CRRC's experienced questionnaire designers. The training targets both you who have no previous experience of research surveys, as well as those of you who are more familiar with questionnaire design but would like to deepen your knowledge. The questionnaire will be circulated to participants in advance.

Heritage as a Resource: For Whom is Culture Developed in Post-Soviet Georgia?

Temple University PhD Candidate in Anthropology Hulya Sakarya will discuss her research on heritage, both its revival as a post-Rose Revolutionary development tool and its potential with respect to Georgia's diverse constituents. Her research asks how Tbilisi's culturally diverse social fabric can be compared to diversity in American and European settings. She also conducted a unique photodocumentation project during Tbilisoba 2009 with Tbilisi State University students as co-collaborators. Her talk will include pictures from this project as well as a frank discussion on if and how Georgia is multicultural.
